Mrs. Diana Weekes-Marshall
Mrs Diana Weekes-Marshall is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the newly formed Local Barbados Chapter of the ACCA and is currently serving her second three-year term on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) to which she is also a Fellow.
As a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies, at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Diana lecturers in all aspects of accounting and taxation. Her current research interests are in the areas of corporate governance, risk management and auditing. She has written a number of papers and presented at conferences both regionally and internationally.
Prior to becoming a full-time lecturer, Diana worked with one of the Big 4 audit firms in Barbados. She then went into the offshore sector managing one of the larger Canadian reinsurance companies on the island. She then went into private practice and lecturing.
Born in the UK to Barbadian parents, she has lived in Barbados for the past 28 years appreciating all the Caribbean has to offer. She loves to travel with her family, she is a Christian and loves hiking and interacting with people from all walks of life.
